Yash Tandon

Yash is from Uganda. He now lives in Oxford, UK, where he is visiting professor at the MDX University.  From 2004 to 2009, he was the Executive Director of the South Centre the think tank of the global South in Geneva. Yash’s long career in national and international development spans as a policymaker, an academic and an activist intellectual. He founded the Southern and Eastern African Trade Information and Negotiations Institute (SEATINI). He has taught at several universities, including Makerere University in Uganda; the University of Dar es Salaam; the London School of Economics in the UK; and Columbia University in the USA. He writes and lectures on issues related mainly to development economics, politics and international relations. His recent book (2015/2018) is titled “Trade is War”.
