Andrew Carmichael

After studying fine art at 6 of the best known art schools in London in the 1980’s, Andrew worked and exhibited as an artist before engaging in consultancy work. Combining his experience from both fields he launched two arts charities; The Art in Perpetuity Trust and DeptfordX. The current Mayor of Lewisham recruited him to set up a local authority regeneration flagship called ‘The Creative Lewisham Agency’. He then initiated and ran an apprentice training company. Two years ago, he began working as a full time still life photographer for a growing number of commercial clients that include the Telegraph and Italian Vogue. Andrew retains a keen interest in how money and investment work and is a qualified member of the Society of Technical Analysts. He has also facilitated a variety of community engagement events, using techniques, such as ‘Open Space’ and ‘Charrettes’.
